Mining is skillful and adventurous job for which the students should be physically and mentally fir. Only male candidates are eligible for this programme. It involves practical training during and after the

examination. Training is arranged in underground Coal/Metal Mines.
After passing diploma the students is required to take further practical training for another one year in Coal/Metal mines as per his choice.
The students may get jobs after completion of diploma and one year Post Diploma Practical Training (PDPT) in the Government organizations such as WCL, MOIL, MECL, IBM, CMRI, UCIL, HCL, HZL, Neville Lignite Corporation, Dept. of Explosives etc.
Mining engineering is an engineering discipline that involves the practice, the theory, the science, the technology, and application of extracting and processing minerals from a naturally occurring environment.Mining engineering also includes processing minerals for additional value. Mineral extraction is essential to modern society.
